Plot summary
Switzerland considers nomadism a social scourge, and it takes the children of the Yenish to eradicate it. The removals belong to Kinder der Landstrasse, a national re-education program influenced by eugenics; they are legal. Lubo Moser is a nomadic Yenish street artist. In 1939 the Swiss army calls him up to protect the border. His cousin tells him that the police have taken his children.
