Plot summary
Liza is thirty, naive and lonely, and has spent twelve years as the nurse of Márta, whose late husband was Japan's ambassador to Hungary, in the capital of a made-up 1970s Hungary that runs on capitalist lines. A cheap Japanese romance novel gives her the idea of finding love, so she marks her thirtieth birthday with a visit to a Mekk Burger restaurant. Her one friend is Tomy Tani, a Japanese pop singer who died long ago. Jealous, he makes her a fox-fairy, and Japanese legend holds that any man who loves a fox-fairy soon dies and that she herself stays alone forever. Her attempts at dating end in fatal accidents.

- Károly Ujj Mészáros added the Japanese theme to the story himself, fascinated by Japanese culture and especially its 1960s and 1970s pop music, and drawn to similarities between Japanese and Hungarian traditions. He had directed commercials in Japan.
- The film's music was voted one of Hungary's "catchiest soundtracks" of 2015, and four of its songs were pressed on a limited 7-inch vinyl.
