Plot summary
Casa da Botica stands in Légua, a rural village in the north of Portugal, and the owners are never there. Emília, who is seventy, has taken care of the unoccupied house for more than four decades, and she is determined to keep it in order. Her friend Ana helps her. Ana's daughter Mónica questions her mother's choices, and as the seasons turn the three women try to work out their place in a world that is fading.
