Plot summary
Hina lives with her blind sister-in-law, Sakina, and has waited eight years for her husband Saqlain, who went to Bahrain for work and has not come back. With other young women from the neighborhood she sits as a muse for Zeenat, a painter who has no children with her husband. One day, on her way home from Zeenat's, Hina slips into a lake and is pulled from the water by a wanderer named Amaltas. The two are drawn to each other at once, and over the days that follow Hina spends much of her time with him, away from the house she shares with Sakina.
