Plot summary
A parody of a Hollywood spectacle starts things: the whole group piles into a giant shopping cart that rolls downhill through explosions and crashes into a fruit stand. From there the performers move through a run of stunts, skits and pranks, with talking-head pieces between them. Japan gets a share of the havoc: one of them rides around in a giant traffic cone, and another steps into a fight with a Japanese kickboxing champion. A live alligator is planted in the kitchen of one performer's mother, a snow cone is made from urine, and a bench rigged to collapse drops a man in front of bystanders.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Jackass: The Movie (2002)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Johnny Knoxville was approached by the producers to turn the Jackass TV series into a feature film and at first rejected the idea, thinking the production company would get Hollywood actors to portray the cast. He agreed once Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze explained it would be a "naughtier version" of the show.
- The final stunt involves a toy car being inserted into Ryan Dunn's anus so that it shows up in an x-ray. Steve-O was originally set to do it, but was told beforehand by his father that he would be disowned had he gone through with it.
- The original ending was to be a Rube Goldberg-type contraption in which each cast member performed a stunt, ending with Johnny Knoxville launched off the catapult next to Rip Taylor. The contraption did not work as intended, so the producers filmed the "Son of Jackass" skit instead.
