Plot summary
Vincent Eastman and his wife Sally share an architectural practice, he as its architect and creative director, she as the one who handles its business. Vincent is unhappy in the marriage, which he treats more as a business than a family. The couple have a daughter, Meaghan, and his indecision weighs on her. Vincent meets Olivia Marshak, a journalist, at an antique auction, and the two begin a romance, meeting whenever they can. A quarrel at home sends Vincent out of the house, though he stays torn between his marriage and a future with Olivia.
