Plot summary
Laila, Salma and Nour share an apartment in Tel Aviv. Laila is a criminal defense lawyer from Nazareth and a secular Muslim who wants a serious relationship with a man who would take her home to his family without asking her to change how she lives. Salma, from a Christian family in Tarshiha, works as a DJ and bartender and keeps her lesbian identity from her relatives. Nour, a devout Muslim from Umm al-Fahm, studies computer science and is engaged to Wissam, a very religious man who does not support her ambitions. Away from their hometowns the three drink, smoke and go out, yet even in the city's liberal society they do not entirely belong, and their Arab identity sets them apart.
