Plot summary

In 1971 a handful of friends from Vancouver, Canada, set out aboard a fishing boat bound for Amchitka, Alaska, to try to stop the nuclear bomb tests ordered by Richard Nixon. News of their voyage reaches a wide public, and the campaign becomes a founding moment of the worldwide green movement and of Greenpeace. The documentary follows the activist Robert Hunter and the others who were part of it, setting the recollections of those involved beside footage shot at the time, with fresh interviews and some animation. Hunter's own writings give the account its structure through five rules of engagement.
