Plot summary
Homework is not Henry's strong point, and Brainy Brian writes a note for him claiming his cat ate it. Miss Battle-Axe spots the forgery, and Henry ends up in detention with his friends, where the group rehearses for the school talent contest. Two school inspectors arrive at Ashton Primary, encouraged by Vic Van Wrinkle, who runs the prestigious Brick House School and wants the inspectors to close Ashton Primary so its pupils will transfer to him. The inspectors back Henry's pranks and frame him, and Miss Battle-Axe and Miss Lovely lose their jobs. Miss Oddbod, the headmistress, then bans Henry's band, the Zero Zombies, from the contest.
