Plot summary
Lisa Johnson should be turning sixteen in 1985, but the eve of her birthday keeps beginning again in her family's house in northern Ontario. She lives the day through with her mother Carol, her father Bruce and her younger brother Robbie, and finds that she can reach across the years to other people. One of them is Olivia, a girl whose family lives in the same house in a later time. A pale man comes to the door and tells Lisa to break off the contacts. Lisa keeps reaching anyway, and what she does carries consequences for herself and for the people she reaches.
