Plot summary
Frisson is twelve and lives in a small Quebec village in 1969, where the times are changing. He is in love with Hélène Paradis, his teacher at school, as he enters puberty. His sister has fallen for the village priest, his best friend is beaten by his own father, and Burger is the village idiot of the town. Frisson's father Aurèle is killed in a workplace accident, and his mother Lucille loses her grip on reality. Frisson wants to see his idol Jimi Hendrix perform at Woodstock, and he asks his father's friend Tom Faucher to take him there from the village.
