Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Foxy Brown (1974)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Foxy Brown was originally intended as a sequel to Coffy under the working title "Burn, Coffy, Burn!", but AIP decided at the last minute against a sequel. That is why the film never says what job Foxy has: Coffy was a nurse, and there was no time to rewrite the script.
- The character outlived the film: Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown, starring Pam Grier in the title role, is an homage to Foxy Brown, and the rapper Foxy Brown took her stage name from Grier's character.
- Although it was never prosecuted for obscenity, the film was seized and confiscated in the United Kingdom under section 3 of the Obscene Publications Act 1959 during the video nasty panic.
