Plot summary
Jane was born and raised in a police flat, and now she is preparing to leave it behind. Her old memories of the place come back to her, and among them is Ann, the ambitious older girl Jane loved in secret. Ann is also at the center of a painful tale of love and intimacy that was lost between her and a young policeman. The bond between police daughters is tested as the girls grow up, in a coming-of-age story about love, friendship and the complexities of life. The memories that return hold secrets Jane has never shared with anyone.
