Plot summary
Farting is a subject people rarely raise in conversation but laugh about often. A documentary traces its history and asks how funny it has been in other eras and in different cultures. Among the questions are why the body produces gas and what sets male flatulence apart from female. The social and interpersonal issues that surround the topic are part of the look, and so is the question of how acceptable it is today.
