Country at Heart (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Grady Connor and Duke Sterling built their careers in country music together until Duke became the star and a dispute over the credit for one of Duke's early hits broke the partnership. Connor keeps working, writing songs for other artists, but he needs a genuine hit. His manager persuades Duke and Duke's manager to try one collaboration, a song for Duke to debut at the Silverado Fall Music Festival. The old bitterness returns and the arrangement collapses, so Connor offers a song Duke may use or not, at the festival or on his next album. In Silverado he meets Shayna Judson, who has come home from Nashville after her singing career stalled, including an audition to be one of Duke's backup singers. Connor sees her talent and wants a fresh perspective, and asks her to write with him.
