Plot summary
Steve is a food photographer whose work is a struggle, and Monica is a fiery grade-school teacher; the two have been a couple for more than two years, and he thinks he has found true love. The early romance goes well, although they have almost nothing in common besides great sex, and it wanes. During an argument Monica walks out to her own apartment, then comes back minutes later saying the relationship is over. A few days pass and they are back together, until an off-hand remark offends Steve within two hours and the separation takes hold in earnest.
