Plot summary
Jacques Duvalier is promoting a new Kumite, and he wants Alex Cardo in it. Alex has given up competition and deals in art, and he refuses. Duvalier, who has his top fighter, the Beast, on show, then has Sun, Alex's mentor and spiritual father, killed. Wanting revenge, Alex turns to David Leung, who directs him to the shaman Judge Macado, Sun's brother. Macado teaches Alex to channel the energy of his mind and body, building on the Iron Hand technique Sun passed on. Alex decides to enter the Kumite and avenge Sun, though the Beast is the strongest fighter the tournament has seen.
