Plot summary
Riding the Florida highway, Vietnam veteran Herschell stops for Angel, a religious girl whose car has broken down, and she brings him home. Her sister Ann and Ann's friends are smoking pot there, while Angel warns Herschell against them and Ann tries to draw him in. Angel suggests he stay until he gets back on his feet. Cleaning the pool, he takes a joint from Ann and grows addicted. He finds work at a local turkey farm where two scientists test chemicals on turkey meat. They offer him marijuana and he eats an entire turkey, then passes out. The scientists, fearing an investigation, dump him in the woodlands, where he wakes with a turkey's head in place of his own.
