Plot summary
Helen Gordon is a widow who needs work done at her house, so she takes on Howard Wilton as a handyman to see to the repairs and the cleaning. Once he is inside, she finds that he is dangerous, paranoid and unstable. He will not let her go, and keeps her in the house through the day. Helen has no way to call for help and no way out.
