Plot summary
Marco Silvestri, a supertanker captain, returns to Paris after his sister Sandra asks him to come, following her husband Jacques's suicide. Sandra and Jacques ran a women's shoe manufacturing business inherited from Marco and Sandra's father, and it faces bankruptcy. Sandra blames Edouard Laporte, a wealthy businessman and an off-the-books creditor, for the death. Justine, Sandra's daughter, is hospitalized. Marco moves into an apartment in Laporte's building in a wealthy area.
