Plot summary
In a near future, Avalon is an illegal virtual reality shooter where solo players and parties raid levels full of AI enemies and rival players. Winners earn experience points and in-game money that can be exchanged for cash, and the mental strain of play sometimes leaves players catatonic. Ash is a famous player who now plays solo. After a Class A mission, the Game Master warns her about the next level's danger. A Bishop-class character then beats her record on that mission, and she cannot learn who he is. Her former teammate Stunner tells her that Murphy, their old leader, went after a hidden character called the ghost and never woke up. The girl is said to be the gateway to the rumored Special A.
