Plot summary
About five years later, Arthur Bach still misses Hobson and teases his assistant Fairchild. A doctor tells his wife Linda Marolla Bach she cannot bear children, so the couple arrange to adopt a baby from Cynthia Canby, while Arthur's drinking worries those around him. Stanford Bach then tells his son that the family business has joined with Burt Johnson, a billionaire and the father of Susan, whom Arthur once nearly married. The Bachs stay rich only if Arthur gives up his own money. Burt offers to return it if Arthur leaves Linda for Susan.

- Producer Larry Brezner, who made Throw Momma from the Train as well as Arthur, surrendered the remake and sequel rights of Arthur to Warner Bros. in return for permission to use clips from the Alfred Hitchcock film Strangers on a Train in Throw Momma from the Train.
- Cynthia Sikes took over the role of Susan Johnson from Jill Eikenberry, who was committed to filming L.A. Law at the time the sequel was made.
