Plot summary
Aspiring television producer Theresa Augland has a string of failed ghost hunts behind her. She persuades winery owner Ashen Till to hand his family's property, King's Ransom Winery, over to her team of paranormal investigators for a weekend. The estate is counted among the most haunted properties in America: suicides, murders, fires of suspicious origin and reports of otherworldly events recur across its history, and each is tied back to an earlier killing in which the victim was stabbed thirteen times. Theresa is heavily pregnant, and she is set on proving that ghosts exist. She and her crew travel into the remote northern California wilderness and set up their equipment. Once the cameras roll, apparitions and unexplained lights appear.
