Plot summary
Soldiers on both sides of the Military Demarcation Line meet over a lottery ticket worth 5.7 billion won that the wind carried across the border. Sergeant Park Chun-woo, a military policeman at a South Korean front-line guard post, is the ticket's first owner. Across the line, Junior Sergeant Ri Young-ho is an NCO at the North Korean post. Captain Kang Eun-pyo commands the South Korean 437th Outpost, and Corporal Kim Man-cheol serves on the South Korean front line. On the northern side, Senior Captain Choi Seung-il is a political adviser and Senior Corporal Bang Cheol-jin is a senior soldier who specializes in hacking against South Korea. Ri Yeon-hee, Young-ho's younger sister, is a junior officer whose corps handles propaganda broadcasts to the South.
