Plot summary
Marni Olsen was bullied through high school by JJ, a popular girl who tormented her while her protective brother Will, a basketball star, never noticed. Eight years later Marni works in public relations in Los Angeles and has been promoted to her firm's New York office. She comes home for Will's wedding to a fiancée she has not met, and the bride, Joanna, is JJ. Joanna charms the whole family and acts as though she has never seen Marni before. Marni's mother Gail also learns that Joanna's wealthy aunt Ramona, who is paying for the wedding, was her own best friend in high school. Marni says nothing to Will about Joanna's past while a series of mishaps leaves her looking much as she did in high school.
