Plot summary
Jenny Cole lives in middle America with her husband, Doug, and their son, Kevin, and she is pregnant. She begins to have vivid dreams of a small town with a big church. When she tells her mother, Maggie, about them, Maggie brings out drawings she made as a child, and the drawings show the same town Jenny has been seeing in her sleep. Mother and daughter look into the matter and find that the dreams point to Malahide, in Ireland, in the 1930s. Maggie gives Jenny, Doug and Kevin tickets, and the family travels to Ireland so that Jenny can look into the town herself.
