Greece, the summer of 1969, under a military dictatorship. Achilleas breaks his leg falling from the yard wall of the cinema in his small country town. During a visit to the city to have the leg treated, he sees a television for the first time, and the program announces that Apollo is about to launch for the moon. The launch becomes his obsession, and he and his friends collect money to buy a set of their own.
