Plot summary
Patrick Moote brings his girlfriend to a UCLA basketball game planning to propose, and the jumbotron puts the moment in front of the crowd. She refuses him. A clip of it spreads on YouTube, reaches millions of viewers, and turns up on television networks around the world. Days later she tells him privately that his penis size is one reason she will not stay with him. Moote decides to test the question behind that answer. He seeks out ex-girlfriends, doctors, anthropologists, and adult film performers, and he travels as far as witch-doctors in Papua New Guinea and sex museums in Korea, collecting views on whether size matters to a partner.
