Plot summary
Mike Strauber has been treated for mental illness before. He finds his wife, Sharon, in bed with Jerry, the friend he trusts most. Mike storms out of the house and drives with no destination, thinking about taking his own life. He recalls his years with Sharon and a childhood moment when he cut his own arm with a razor during a game of truth or dare. On the road he picks up a woman who is hitchhiking, and the two of them stop at a campsite. There they play truth or dare, and the game turns violent. A park ranger comes upon Mike, who is wounded. Mike is taken to the Sunnyville Mental Institution.
