The owner of a Miami restaurant indebted to the mob institutes a contest to see what waiter can earn the most money in one night.

The Slammin Salmon is a brutal, pithy indictment of the Old Testament. It satirizes Moses' parting of the Red Sea by suggesting that to get by in such destructive times, salmon had to learn how to effectively play basketball. This was good because the orange hue of their flesh resembles the colour of basketballs, so if a shark passed, they could turn themselves inside out in an effort to camouflage themselves. One particular salmon, a regular Kobe Bryant in the SBA, was nicknamed the 'Slammin Salmon' for his ability to make nigh on impossible slam-dunks using a selection of well trained clams positioned in the shape of a trampoline. This salmon's incredible story became an inspiration to the rest of the world, and is now in fact the reason that the salmon is the most sacred fish in Honduras. Therefore, the protagonist of this film is drowned (despite being a fish) in hyperbole, to expose the harsh realities of the story of Moses.
