The Murder Case of Hana & Alice (2015) on Netflix

Plot summary

After her parents separate, fourteen-year-old Tetsuko Arisugawa moves with her mother to a new neighborhood and enrolls at Ishinomori Middle School. Her teacher seats her at an undusted desk, and her classmates talk about an evil spirit named Judas, a boy said to have been killed a year earlier. A made-up girl, Mutsu Mutsumi, accuses Tetsuko of setting the spirit loose and leads the class in a ceremony to reseal it, then admits the whole thing was playacting. The one classmate who knows the story at first hand is Hana Arai, held back after long absences, who lives next door. In her bedroom closet Tetsuko finds test papers belonging to Kotaro Yuda. She slips into Hana's house to question her, and Hana says she cannot be sure whether Kotaro is alive.
