The King's Choice (2016) on Netflix

Plot summary

In April 1940, Crown Prince Olav tells his father, King Haakon VII, that a ship sunk off Lillesand was carrying German soldiers, and that Prime Minister Johan Nygaardsvold's cabinet will not abandon Norway's neutrality. In Oslo, Lieutenant-Colonel Hartwig Pohlman directs Curt Bräuer, the German envoy, to press the government into admitting German troops, supposedly to protect Norway from a British attack. Foreign Minister Halvdan Koht refuses, calling Norway a sovereign nation. At Oscarsborg Fortress, Colonel Birger Eriksen opens fire on the cruiser Blücher as it enters Drøbak Sound. Nygaardsvold telephones the King with news of the invasion and urges him to leave Oslo. The royal family travels by train to Hamar, where Parliament gathers, and Vidkun Quisling declares himself Prime Minister on the radio.
