Plot summary
Alan Colby, an English racing driver, and his wife Denise came through a bad crash a year ago. Both are physically well, but Alan's moods swing and his violence toward Denise grows. On vacation on the Côte d'Azur they meet David Prade, a psychiatrist from London. Denise tells Prade about the troubles in her marriage, which angers Alan. After a quarrel the pair make it up and go home to London. There Alan tries to strangle his wife and is appalled by what he has done. She pleads with him to let Prade help, and he agrees. Prade offers to take Alan back in his mind to the time of the crash, to cure him.

- Director Val Guest said the film came from a book by Ronald Scott Thorn, who was the film industry's insurance doctor and had put the filmmakers through the mill when they arranged their own film insurance.
