Plot summary

Rafael works the women's clothing department at Yeyo's, a large Madrid store, where he sells well and charms the women on the staff. The floor supervisor's post comes open, and his rival for it is Don Antonio, the experienced and stern head of menswear. A quarrel between the two men ends badly for Don Antonio, and Lourdes, a quiet clerk nobody notices, sees enough to know what Rafael did. She offers to keep quiet and to help him, at a price: a place in his life. Rafael gets the promotion he wanted and finds that Lourdes now decides how he spends his days.
