Plot summary

Colin lives with his girlfriend Zoe when his older sister JR comes to him for a favor. JR wants a career as a news anchor, but she dropped out of the college where she lived with Neil Chadwick, a broadcasting professor there. Their relationship is over and she wants her belongings back, so Colin agrees to drive her across New England to Neil's place. The two of them argue the whole way, with each other and with nearly everyone they meet, and the trip carries them past old schoolmates and a family history they left behind. The arguing also brings up JR's difficult relationship with their parents.
