Plot summary
Danny Balint now runs with violent skinheads in New York. He was raised in a yeshiva and broke with his Jewish identity after arguments with his teachers about scripture, including a debate over the Binding of Isaac in which he called God a bully rather than a tester of faith. He finds a meeting of fascists led by Curtis Zampf and Lina Moebius, where he meets Lina's daughter Carla. Danny wants Jews killed, naming a banker called Manzetti, while Curtis and Lina resist violence on practical grounds. Lina admires his intelligence and his public speaking and asks him to join the movement's camp retreat in the country. At home his father is ill and his sister Linda attacks his beliefs. A journalist writing about hate groups comes to him for an interview.

The film is loosely based on the true story of Dan Burros, a member of the American Nazi Party and the New York branch of the United Klans of America, who died by suicide after being revealed as Jewish by a reporter from The New York Times.
