Plot summary
Three specimens meant for an intergalactic zoo break loose when their transport ship goes down in the countryside. The creatures, named the Inferbyce, the Zagatile and the Leemoid, take to the woods, and people in the area turn up mutilated. Into this comes Ben Zachary, a stranger who says he can end the trouble. The screenplay started as a comedy titled Lance Sterling, Monster Killer, calling for fifteen monsters, before the filmmakers settled on a straight horror film with three. Two of them were built as suits, and the Leemoid was made through stop motion animation. Shooting took place from October 1976 to April 1977 around the Baltimore, Maryland area.
