Plot summary
Laura Price is one of the twelve jurors who convicted Evan Lucas of capital murder in a high profile San Francisco serial killer trial, and he is sentenced to death. Five years later, the jurors begin dying one after another, in the order of the seat numbers they held in the jury box. Laura sees that the deaths are not coincidence. Her own seat number is drawing near. She investigates the killings with Detective Callendar and Detective Lyons who work the case with her, and she wants to know what stands behind the deaths before the pattern reaches her next.
