Plot summary
Hanif and Isti are siblings who make their way back to their hometown when their uncle, Pakde Khair, dies. The old family house in a remote area of Java passes to them. The man has come back to life more than once over the years, and he dies again just as the two of them arrive. At first the siblings are not sure they believe any of it. His restless spirit appears to them inside the house. In Javanese folklore, Sorop is when ghosts and astral beings are said to show themselves, and Pakde Khair roams then, bringing supernatural events that involve his reappearance.
