Plot summary
Milo Tindle, a struggling actor who also works as a chauffeur, arrives at the country estate of Andrew Wyke, a rich and successful mystery novelist. Milo is taking Andrew's wife, Maggie. The comfortable old English house turns out to be cold and stark inside, filled with monitors, cameras and surveillance equipment. Andrew keeps up a thin layer of civility while his talk turns malicious and insulting, then he comes to the point. He says he wants rid of a wife he now detests, and he will agree to a divorce so that Milo can have her. In return, he expects something.

- Everything in the film's look was drawn from contemporary British architecture and artists: the wire figure is by Anthony Gormley, one of Britain's most famous sculptors, Gary Hume did all the artwork on the walls, and custom designed furniture from Ron Arad completes the look.
