Plot summary
Avery Hansen-White, a teenager with a tendency toward perfectionism, refuses to take on anything she is not excellent at. Her boyfriend lives far away, and he suggests their relationship could go further at an upcoming STEM conference. Avery decides she must master her sexuality, and she studies the mechanics of love. For practice, she asks her oldest friend, Larson, to serve as her test subject.
