Plot summary
Pup is a brownbanded bamboo shark who plays on the ocean bed with Julius, an Oceanic whitetip shark. Two human divers steal egg sacs from the reef, the unhatched siblings of Pup, and he cannot stop them. Julius takes him to a sunken ship for dinner, where Pup is too upset to eat. His friend Octo, an octopus inventor, shows him an underwater car and takes it for a test drive. A factory that pollutes the ocean drives Murray, a moray eel, to bring an army of spider crabs to the ocean bed.

- The score for SeeFood was composed by Tan Yan Wei of Imaginex Studios, but he died in April while making the soundtracks for this film and Bunohan. Imaginex Studios later took over the scoring, and the soundtrack was released in October 2011, months after his death.
- SeeFood's animation team of 40 studied the behaviour of the sea creatures in the cast so they would be portrayed realistically while still showing human expression, much as Pixar's team did for Finding Nemo. The animation process took about two years.
