Biography

Tim Barrett was an English actor who became best known for his television work, especially as Malcolm Harris, the employer of Terry Medford in the sitcom Terry and June. He inherited the part when Terence Alexander could not return, and he stayed with the show from its 1980 Christmas special until the seventh series in 1983. John Quayle then took over the role, though Barrett came back years later in the final series as another character, Mr Basingstoke. He also played Mr Campbell-Lewiston in an episode of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, and he appeared as P. J. Parker in Farrington of the F.O. On film, he appeared in The Deadly Bees (1966). He was also in Bloodbath at the House of Death (1984). His final acting role was Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory in War and Remembrance, and he died in 1990.
