Rula Lenska

Rula Lenska is a British actress whose work has been mainly in British theater and television, though she also gained attention in the United States through commercials for the hair product Alberto VO5 during the 1970s and 1980s. After training at the Webber-Douglas School of Drama, she began acting at 18 with an uncredited part in Dixon of Dock Green, and her first major production was the West End play Suddenly at Home. She was Luce Habit in Queen Kong (1976) and Helga in Royal Flash (1975), and gained notice as Q in the television series Rock Follies. Later she appeared as Claudia Colby in Coronation Street from 2009 to 2011 and again from 2018 to 2022. On stage she took roles including Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and she published an autobiography, Rula: My Colourful Life, in 2013.
