Neil Breen

Neil Breen is an American actor and filmmaker who, since 2005, has written, produced, directed and starred in seven features, taking on most other crew jobs too. He studied architecture and was licensed to practice in California, and he pays for his own productions, working with amateur casts and crews. Double Down, his debut, drew a small following after a 2010 screening at the Cinefamily in Los Angeles, and I Am Here....Now also played there. His heroes are usually lonely figures with superhuman or messianic powers locked in grandiose battles against corrupt institutions, among them a hacker empowered by a magical stone in Fateful Findings, a rogue CIA operative in Double Down, and a future visitor in Pass Thru. Twisted Pair arrived in 2018. Critics have likened his work to outsider art, compared him to Tommy Wiseau, and his films have drawn a cult following as so-bad-they-are-good viewing.
