Natalie Mendoza
Biography
Natalie Mendoza is an Australian actress whose work spans musical theater, film, television and Broadway. Born in Hong Kong in 1978, she grew up in Hong Kong, Sydney and Melbourne and trained in classical theater at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Her early stage credits include Cats, Miss Saigon and Les Miserables, and from 1998 to 2000 she formed the band Jackson Mendoza, which scored a number one and two Top 10 singles in Australia. She played the lead dancer China Doll in Moulin Rouge! (2001), then took the lead in Neil Marshall's horror movie The Descent (2005), returning for The Descent: Part 2 (2009). She played Jackie Clunes across three seasons of the drama Hotel Babylon, from 2006 to 2008, and her later stage roles include Here Lies Love and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, where she originated Arachne. In 2021 she joined the Broadway cast of Moulin Rouge! as Satine.

Behind the camera
