Nadia Townsend
Biography
Nadia Townsend is an Australian actress and film dramaturge. Born in Sydney and raised in Gladesville, she trained at the Australian Theatre for Young People and later at the Atlantic Theater Company in New York, began working in theater in 1999 and founded her own company, Wolf Whistle. She made her television debut as Clare Gormley in the ABC drama Head Start in 2001 and went on to roles in Fireflies and the lead in the black comedy Puppy (2005). After studying theater directing at the Victorian College of the Arts, she appeared in the science fiction thriller Knowing (2009) and from 2009 played Detective Allie Kingston in City Homicide through 2011. She was assistant dramaturge on Mad Max: Fury Road (2015).
