Monique Bricca is an American actor who has performed for film, television, and theater. Bricca was born in San Francisco, California shortly after her parents migrated from Marseille, France. While growing up in San Francisco in a dual-language home, she returned to France for three months every summer to visit her relatives. Bricca has remained fluent in French throughout her adult life. Painfully shy as a child and young adult, she recalled that when assigned to give an oral book report in high school, persuaded her parents to call in sick as she feared standing in front of class. Shortly after graduating high school, Bricca was "scouted" by a leading model agency, rapidly conquered her fear of performance on the catwalk, and within a year had become a successful print and runway model in San Francisco.
