Martin Hofmann
Biography
Martin Hofmann is an actor from the Czech Republic. Born in Ceske Budejovice, he studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and graduated in 2000. While a student he took guest roles, then had a permanent engagement at the Theatre Rokoko in Prague. He worked freelance, starting with Dusan D. Parizek on The Bandits and guest appearances at theaters such as Bez zábradli, the Viola Theatre and the Theatre in Reznicka. He collaborated often with the actors' troupe Kaspar at the Theatre in Celetna. He played the pied piper in Dyk's Krysar, the title role in Marber's Don Juan in Soho, and Horatio in Hamlet. He also appeared as Cyrano in Rostand's play, Stavrogin in Dostoevsky's Demons, and a pawnbroker in The Gentle Creature by Dostoevsky. He was a guest at the National Theatre in Troilus and Cressida, directed by David Radok.
