Marc Bannerman
Biography
Marc Bannerman is an Irish-born British actor. Although born in Dublin, he was raised in North London. He trained at The Courtyard Theatre Company, where he took on parts in The Canterbury Tales and Nosferatu. He played Gianni di Marco on the BBC soap EastEnders from 1998 to 2000. His other television credits include Time Gentlemen Please, The Bill, Holby City, and Hotel Babylon (2008). He also played Patsy Richardson in Snatch and appeared in Agatha Raisin as PC Beech. In 2007 he took part in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. On stage, The Times gave him four stars in 2016 for his Shylock in The Merchant of Venice. His film work includes A Landscape of Lies, No Reasons, and 24 Little Hours (2020).

In 1997, Bannerman tried out for the part of Gianni di Marco, one of a new Italian family on the BBC serial drama EastEnders. He landed the role by claiming to the producers that he was half-Italian and half-Sardinian.
